Hole of Geuda

Significance: a superb gloup or blowhole along the SSSI coast of Villians of Hamnavoe

The Hole of Geuda (HU 240839) is a narrow, 30 m vertical slot through the cliff top west of the Geo of Ockran at North Head. The blowhole has developed at the back of a stairway inlet on the southern cliff in Geo of Ockran. During storms, waves surge up the stairway and water is ejected through the blowhole onto the cliff top.
