Ice margins in Strath Nethy
Alexander Bremner's (1932) line drawings portray glacial retreat phenomena on the eastern margin of Strath Nethy. The drawings are from viewpoints north of Bynack Stable and show marginal meltwater channels, spillways, terraces and lateral moraines. They give a very clear picture of part of the last ice sheet down-wasting against the hills to the east and retreating from Dorbach towards Ryvoan. The associated retreat moraines, ponded sediments and ice-push features are perhaps best viewed in the valleys of the Allt Bheadhair and the Faeshallach Burn.
